Carbon Company Established in Cambodia?

A group of Khmer scholars graduated from Japan has just founded a company, the Mekong Carbon Co., Ltd. (MECAR).MECAR services include conducting feasibility study, developing Project Idea Notes (PIN), developing Project Design Documents (PDD), developing projects, and research and training in the following fields of our expertise:

1. Bioenergy production from farm animal manures, natural resources, and wastes under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and future climate regimes
2. Carbon emission reductions through avoided deforestation and forest degradation, forest conservation, sustainable forest management, enhancement of carbon sinks by restoring degraded forests (REDD+)
3. International climate policy
4. Forest inventory, logging planning and forest management

6. Small-scale Carbon Offset Scheme
