Commenting on my research plan: Cambodia’s foreign policy in the cold war and its impact on national security

Dear all seniors, researchers, and friends.

Currently, I am doing a research paper to fulfil my B.A degree in International Studies, IFL, Cambodia. Here is my research plan. I hope you all can comment on it. Thank very much.

Third draft
• Research Topic: Cambodia’s foreign policy in the cold war and its impact on national security
• Research Problem: what were the political behaviors of Cambodia toward superpowers and its impacts on Cambodian national security?
• Research Questions:
I am going to dissect the years 1953- 1989 into different periods based on the political regimes, specifically 1953-1970, 1970-75, 1975-79, and 1979-89. For each period, I am going to ask:
1. What was the foreign policy of Cambodia toward superpower?
2. Why did Cambodia pursue such a policy?
3. What were the impacts of such policy on Cambodian national security?

I do need your comments on my thirdly revised one.

I think it's sufficient as you have clear research questions which correspond to your research topic, and I have no comments on this. But why didn't you mention your research objectives?

And do you think you'll find the documents and information related the foreign policy in those periods?

Thank you for your comments. Yet, now i have changed the topic after consultation with my supervisor since the scope of my previous plan is so big that I cannot finish within 4 months for my B.A.
