Role of Research in Development

(New) Dear Online DRF Members,

Welcome to Online DRF discussions! We are pleased to announce that the online DRF is hosting a series of focused online discussions for all members in order to share your ideas and knowledge and to learn from each other.

The second discussion on the Role of Research in development will be moderated and open for six weeks starting from now to 30^th September 2011.

In order to help guide the discussion, we have prepared several questions below which we would like you to consider. They are:

1. What is research mean to you?
2. Why do we need to do research? and
3. How is research important for development?

We, moderators, will work with you to guide you through these questions, and will summarize your answers to the various questions and topics as they arise within the discussions.
