Training workshop on “Basic Poverty Analysis”
12-16 September 2011, Phnom Penh
The Development Research Forum in Cambodia, co-managed by CDRI and The Learning Institute, with financial support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada and in partnership with the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC), the Supreme National Economic Council (SNEC), the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the Cambodia Economic Association (CEA) is pleased to announce its training workshop on “Basic Poverty Analysis” to be held in 12-16 September 2011 at CDRI, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The training is designed to equip Cambodian young researchers with necessary technical knowledge and skills to undertake basic poverty analysis. Trained by experienced poverty expert in the region, the workshop will take five-day long and provide an in-depth examination of concepts and issues on the analysis of monetary poverty and income inequality for cross-section data. It will also discuss some intermediate level statistical analyses, especially regression modeling for identifying poverty correlates.
The Development Research Forum is now pleased to open application to attend the workshop from its partner institutions, members of DRF online forum, graduate students and independent researchers. The selection of application will be based on educational and research background and the necessity and applicability of required skill and knowledge to the current job. Interested candidate shall fill in application and submit to Ms Ourn Vimoil via vimoil@cdri.org.kh by 26 August 2011. Application form and other related documents are available from bellow link:

Dear Sokngy, how are you? it was nice to see you at the national symposium last week. You made quite interesting presentation about DRF online network. It was due to this reason that I decided to write you an email using my DRF membership account. :-)
I am writing to request you training modules of "Poverty Analysis" training which is conducted from September 12 (today) to 16 at CDRI. Would you mind sharing the course module? I want to request for special seat to observe the course (as I was late to apply for the course).
