Fourth Annual Symposium on “Achieving Inclusive Growth, Social Equity and Sustainable Development for Cambodia”

Symposium Background and Goals: CDRI, Cambodia’s leading development policy research institute, and The Learning Institute, co-hosts of the Cambodia Development Research Forum (CDRF), are organizing the Fourth Annual Symposium on the theme “Achieving Inclusive Growth, Social Equity and Sustainable Development for Cambodia” to be held on 08-09 September 2011, Cambodianna Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The 2011 Symposium is designed to engage the Cambodian research community, policy makers, academia, development partners and practitioners in an expert-led discussion on how to achieve high levels of inclusive growth, social equity and sustainable development for Cambodia. Our ultimate aim is to build a ‘research culture’ and bridge the policy-research gaps in Cambodia. The 2011 Symposium will host presentations of research findings in the following sub-themes:

1. Trade, Industry and Regional Integration for Growth
2. Agriculture, Rural Development, Poverty, Food Security and Livelihoods
3. Natural Resources Management, Environment and Climate Change
4. Good Governance: Decentralisation and Deconcentration
5. Education policy for Human Resource Development

The Development Research Forum is pleased to accept registration to participate in the Symposium through DRF website. Interested persons should send your interest by email to sokngy_siv@learninginstitute.org by 24 August 2011. The registration form can be downloaded at Online Registration Form.The Symposium Working Group will select and notify your acceptance by 29 August 2011.
